Who is welcome at Jehu's Table?

Who is welcome here at Jehu’s Table? Everyone. We believe in a theology of radical welcome.

You are welcome.

While we are rooted in African Descent Church Tradition you are welcome here no matter your ethnic heritage…

You are welcome.

We believe that “There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28

If you are male or female or transgender or gender queer….

You are welcome.

We believe that new things are emerging in this generation of saints while honoring our elders and ancestors…

If you are three days old, 30 years old, or 103 years old...

You are welcome.

While we are rooted in the Christian tradition from a Lutheran faith perspective…

If you’ve never stepped foot in a church; are over churched and over it or aren’t a Christian but want to experience what we are up to…

You are welcome.

We believe that relationships are hard, holy, and aren’t a bar from the gospel, or a requirement...

If you are single, married, divorced, separated, or partnered...

You are welcome.

We believe that LGBTQ+ peoples are a gift to the church and are to be centered in our community not cast out…

If you are straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, ace, or queer...

You are welcome.

We believe that Jesus’s ministry had political ramifications and we will always work towards God’s justice in the world for marginalized peoples….

If you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, Socialist, or not registered to vote...

You are welcome.

We believe that our church is an emergency room for brokenness not just a museum for the “holy” …

If you have, or had, addictions, phobias, regrets, or a criminal record...

You are welcome.

We believe this country’s culture around wealth and wealth inequality is out of sync with the message we discovered in the Gospel…

If you own your home, rent, live with your parents, in public housing, or are homeless...

You are welcome.

We believe that you are already a citizen of God's kingdom....

regardless of your  citizenship status; if you are so called undocumented, or a refugee.

You are welcome.

We believe the church hasn’t done a great job providing access to everyone and this is a growing edge for us….

If you are fully-abled, or a person with differing abilities...

You are welcome.

You are welcome at Jehu’s Table.
